About the stories

The stories are retold gently and checked for accuracy. Sri Ram, Sita Ji, Sri Lakshman, Sri Hanuman, Sri Krishna and Lakshmi Ji are named with respect, and they appear only in graceful story pictures, never as cut-outs or puppets. The crafts use Jugnu, animals, places and diyas.

What you need at home

Crayons or colouring pencils, child-safe scissors, glue stick, sticky tape, thin card, straws, a little glitter, paint for thumbprints, and a short pencil.

Time: about 20 to 30 minutes a task. Read the words aloud together; do the tasks in any order.
